CONTENT manager

Ten Toes is searching for a highly-ambitious Content Manager to join our team, working with leading rightsholders in the world of sport to grow, engage and deepen connections with their online audiences. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and executing social media plans and output, working closely with our internal team and our client on a day-to-day basis.

  • We’re looking for an ambitious, dedicated and passionate content manager with experience managing high-profile social media channels. The individual will have demonstrable experience in content planning, ideation and execution and an excellent understanding of the current social media landscape – while always looking for ways to improve and develop content output.

    The ideal candidate will be confident and comfortable in: leading content publication on live event days, creating platform-specific content calendars, developing and executing content plans and optimising social assets by using tools such as Photoshop, Azzuu and Slate. They will also be able to showcase their experience working with key internal or external stakeholders to collaborate effectively.

    The successful applicant will be a confident communicator, capable of acting as a day-to-day contact directly with the client. Being proactive, innovative and committed will be essential for success in this role.

  • Our Content Manager will be comfortable and confident acting as a channel lead, working directly with clients to deliver against their objectives. The roleholder will lead on the planning, optimisation and distribution of social content, live matchday publishing and content analysis. They will work closely with our content and video team to ensure we are growing, engaging and monetising our clients’ online communities with best-in-class social output. The role holder will have a strong knowledge and understanding of football.

    • Lead on the day-to-day planning of content for multiple platforms; ensuring content is optimised for each

    • A point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis

    • Create and publish planned and reactive content across social media channels

    • Spot social and cultural trend opportunities – delivering with authenticity and relevance

    • Acts as a lead publisher for key events and live action, overseeing the content team and the output and taking ownership of plans

    • Play a leading role in internal ideation sessions to drive creative innovation and ensure content across channels remains best-in-class

    • Liaising and working closely with clients for ideation sessions, campaign planning and review meetings

    • Support key stakeholders with tracking of content performance, providing context and insights for reports and learning from the data for future output

    • Offer support and advice to other content managers working across client channels and different brands

    • Manage communities, working closely with a Community Manager to spot engagement opportunities and interact with users’ posts and comments
      Use platforms such as Azzuu, Slate and Photoshop to adapt and optimise assets for use across social media

    • Collaborate effectively with our internal content managers and video team

  • Essential: Demonstrable experience working within the sporting landscape; either for a rightsholder or an agency working closely with rightsholders

    Essential: Clear experience overseeing content plans and execution across multiple social media channels

    Essential: Strong communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders

    Essential: Strong knowledge of the football landscape and how to engage with the football community through best-in-class storytelling and content output

    Essential: Strong understanding of how to optimise content for different channels – with clear knowledge of each social media platform’s best practices

    Essential: Experience of using analytics tools to assess content performance and ability to learn from the insights

    Essential: Strong levels of commercial understanding

    Essential: Experience of working in a team environment

    Essential: Willingness to work weekends in line with the sporting calendar

    Desirable: Experience working with platforms/tools such as Azzuu, Slate and Photoshop

    Desirable: Experience working with AI clipping tools

    Desirable: Some knowledge, and a desire to enhance existing know-how, regarding how AI can improve workflows, processes and delivery
